Description

Nordic Thingy:91 is a compact battery-powered prototyping platform designed for rapid development of IoT solutions based on LTE-M, NB-IoT, and GNSS. Thanks to the built-in nRF9160 SiP module and global LTE band certification, the Thingy:91 can be used almost worldwide. The platform is ideal for creating proof-of-concept, demos, and prototypes at early stages of IoT product development. The device comes preloaded with an advanced asset tracking application that uses a combination of cellular data and GNSS positioning. The kit includes multiple sensors such as air quality, temperature, humidity, light, and acceleration sensors. Thingy:91 also supports Bluetooth Low Energy and NFC thanks to the presence of the nRF52840 chip. The kit includes a global eSIM card from iBasis with a free 10 MB data package, enabling immediate use. The platform works with the nRF Connect SDK and enables remote management and testing through the nRF Cloud platform.
