| About the book |
| The handbook discusses the issues of commutation in electronic programmable switching systems, taking into account the architecture, control and maintenance of these systems. Methods of analysis and design of systems with circuit switching and ATM systems are presented. Optical switching systems and problems of telecommunications traffic theory were also discussed. Examples of switching systems used in the Polish public telecommunications network EWSD, 5 ESS, System 12, as well as an example of the ACT 6000 subscriber exchange. The textbook is intended for students of telecommunications at higher technical schools. It will also be useful for specialists dealing in telecommunications, IT and electronics.
