Educational set for programming the Mai-Z the MouseBot without using a computer, tablet or app. Includes 53 colour-coded instruction blocks, a Screen-Free PCB, a double-sided townscape poster and a 16-page instruction booklet with sample activities. Programming involves arranging a sequence of blocks, recording it with the robot and then executing the commands. Kitronik 56139
Screen-free programming pack for Mai-Z the MouseBot enables programs to be created using physical, colour-coded blocks representing individual commands. After arranging a sequence, the robot reads the instructions in Record mode, stores the program and then executes it in Play mode. The block colours correspond to concepts used in Microsoft MakeCode: blue blocks start the program, teal blocks handle obstacle detection, green blocks control forward movement, pink blocks control turns, purple blocks specify angles, and orange blocks activate the indicators and horn.

The set supports exercises involving command sequences, loops, conditionals, movement control and angles without using a screen. The double-sided townscape poster enables routes and navigation challenges to be created, while the pen holder on the Mai-Z robot allows drawing exercises involving shapes and figures. The included Screen-Free PCB connects directly to the robot. Due to the way the sensors operate, the manufacturer recommends using the set indoors, as bright outdoor light may interfere with correct reading of the instruction blocks.
