Description

The Teensy 4.1 is a very powerful and powerful microcontroller board with an ARM Cortex-M7 core with an operating frequency of up to 600 MHz. It has a floating point unit, which enables audio and video signal processing and scientific calculations. The board is equipped with large amounts of memory - 7936K Flash, 1024K RAM (512K tightly coupled) and 4K EEPROM (emulated). In addition, it is possible to expand the memory by adding RAM or Flash chips.

The Teensy has multiple communication interfaces, including USB 480 Mbit/s and host USB 480 Mbit/s, 55 digital input/output pins, 35 PWM output pins, 18 analogue input pins, 8 serial ports, 3 SPI, 3 I2C, 2 I2S/TDM ports and 1 S/PDIF digital audio port. In addition, the board supports 3 CAN buses (1 with CAN FD) and 1 SDIO (4 bit) native SD card port. It also features 10/100 Mbit Ethernet with DP83825 PHY and 32 general purpose DMA channels for fast and efficient data transfer. The board also features cryptographic acceleration and a random number generator and RTC for date/time.

Each Teensy 4.1 module has a bootloader preloaded, so it can be programmed using the built-in USB connection. No external programmer is required. Programs can be written in any environment that supports the C language or in the Arduino IDE after installing the Teensyduino extension. In addition, the Teensy 4.1-LOCK version allows the Secure mode to be activated. This allows the code to be sufficiently secure for updates, among other things.
