High-precision breakout board with the Texas Instruments TMP117 digital temperature sensor, offering a -55 to 150°C measurement range, 0.0078°C resolution and accuracy up to ±0.1°C. It communicates over I2C/SMBus, features two Qwiic connectors, programmable temperature alerts and supports Arduino and MicroPython. Soldered 333175
The device TMP117 Temperature Sensor by Soldered is a high-precision digital temperature sensor breakout designed for measurements from -55 to 150°C. The onboard Texas Instruments TMP117 provides 16-bit resolution of 0.0078°C per LSB and accuracy of up to ±0.1°C from -20 to 50°C without requiring additional calibration.
The sensor communicates through an I2C / SMBus interface operating at up to 400kHz. The default I2C address of the board is 0x49, while configuration of the ADD0 input allows one of four addresses to be selected: 0x48, 0x49, 0x4A or 0x4B. Two Qwiic / easyC / STEMMA QT connectors provide quick solderless connection and allow several devices to be chained on the same bus.

The TMP117 supports programmable high and low temperature limits, while the ALERT output can indicate that a configured threshold has been exceeded or that new measurement data is available. Continuous conversion, one-shot measurement and shutdown modes are available, while programmable averaging of 1, 8, 32 or 64 samples helps reduce measurement noise. The device also includes 48-bit general-purpose EEPROM for storing user data such as calibration or identification information.
The sensor features very low power consumption of approximately 3.5µA at a 1Hz conversion cycle and approximately 150nA in shutdown mode. The breakout board is designed for use with 3.3V and 5V systems and includes logic-level adaptation circuitry. The board measures 38 × 22mm, while the 3.2mm mounting holes are suitable for M3 screws. Soldered provides libraries for Arduino and MicroPython.
