A controller that allows you to control any 3-phase BLDC motor. It is equipped with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as an integrated TMAG5273 Hall effect sensor and INA240A1 current sensor amplifiers, thanks to which it allows the use of advanced FOC algorithms. SparkFun ROB-22132
SparkFun IoT Brushless Motor Driver is a powerful and easy-to-use motor driver that allows you to control any 3-phase BLDC motor. It is equipped with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It uses the TMC6300 chip from ADI+ Trinamic, which is a powerful motor controller that allows motion control via a microcontroller such as the ESP32 WROOM.
The TMC6300 is an easy-to-use motor controller rated at up to 2A (1.4A RMS). Separate control of the upper and lower states of the three bridge halves allows for control of each motor commutation phase. The manufacturer also provides the Arduino Simple Field Oriented Control library, which works well with the TMC6300 controller. The FOC algorithm requires some feedback to close and optimize the control loop. Therefore, the TMAG5273 Hall effect sensor and INA240A1 current sensor amplifiers are integrated into the driver board design. This allows users to incorporate the position sensor and current sensors into the FOC algorithm or into any feedback-based control loop they implement. Additionally, the controller includes two user buttons, a Qwiic connector and an RGB LED.
