PoE M.2 HAT+ (B) is a practical add-on board for Raspberry Pi 5 that enables simultaneous power over Ethernet and installation of a high-performance NVMe SSD. With boot support from the SSD and additional power output terminals, this module is ideal for projects requiring fast storage and reliable power supply, such as servers, surveillance systems, or IoT gateways.
The PCIe M.2 HAT+ (B) expansion enables connection of an NVMe SSD to the Raspberry Pi 5 while simultaneously powering the device via PoE (Power over Ethernet) compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at. The adapter uses the 16-pin PCIe connector on the Raspberry Pi 5 and a standard 40-pin GPIO header, allowing parallel use of other HAT add-ons. It supports both Gen2 and Gen3 protocols, allows system boot from the SSD, and is compatible with 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 SSD formats. Power over Ethernet enables data and power transmission through a single cable, simplifying network integration. The board also features LED indicators for monitoring status and additional 5 V and 12 V power outputs for external peripherals.
