A versatile extension for Adafruit Feather boards, allowing you to quickly connect Grove modules and Stemma QT accessories without soldering. The module offers three Grove A/D connectors, one UART, and two I2C connectors, making it easy to expand your project with a variety of sensors and interfaces. An additional Stemma QT port allows for further expansion of I2C devices. Adafruit 5862
Grove and Stemma QT FeatherWing is a universal expansion board designed for all Feather-family development boards, enabling fast and convenient connection of Grove modules and Stemma QT accessories. This allows users to easily extend their projects with additional sensors, interfaces, and input/output components without soldering or complex wiring. The board includes 3 analog/digital Grove ports, one UART port, and two I2C ports, making it suitable for a wide range of IoT, educational, and hobby applications. Additionally, a vertical Stemma QT connector is placed at the edge of the board, providing an easy way to attach extra I2C devices.
The Grove system uses a 4-pin 2 mm-pitch connector, so it is important to ensure that the connected module is plugged into the correct port for its signal type. It is also worth noting that the expansion capabilities depend on the specific Feather board used — some models offer fewer analog inputs or limited UART functionality. The FeatherWing is supplied pre-assembled, and the kit includes two 16-pin headers that require soldering, allowing the module to be mounted directly onto a Feather board or onto a doubler board. Its compact size and low weight make it an excellent choice for prototyping and creating lightweight, portable devices.
