Description

The device Digipot 10k MCP4018 by Soldered provides software-controlled resistance adjustment using the MCP4018 digital potentiometer from Microchip. The variant offers a nominal resistance of 10kΩ and 128 adjustment steps. The module can replace a mechanical potentiometer in circuits requiring resistance control from a microcontroller, including adjustment of analog circuit parameters and signal levels.

Control is handled via the I2C bus at a fixed address of 0x2F. The board provides SDA and SCL pins as well as two Qwiic connectors, compatible with easyC and STEMMA QT, for solderless connection to compatible boards. The A and W pins provide access to the fixed resistor terminal and potentiometer wiper respectively.

The wiper resistance is 100Ω. The board supports a 3.3V or 5V supply through the VCC pin. The I2C pull-up resistors are connected to 3.3V and can be disconnected using a hardware jumper.

The board measures 22 × 22mm. Two 3.2mm mounting holes are designed for M3 screws. The manufacturer provides an Arduino library and open-source hardware design files for integration into custom projects.
