Description
IR proximity sensor used to detect objects at a distance of 10 (±5) mm to 80 (±20) mm using infrared radiation. It works on the principle of using emission and reflection of rays. It consists of two basic components: a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter emits a beam of infrared radiation towards the area to be monitored. The receiver is sensitive to the reflection of this beam from objects within the range of the sensor.
The advantages of IR sensors are their strong anti-interference capability, fast response and small size. This makes the module easy to integrate into a variety of devices. The sensor has a housing with mounting holes, allowing users to design a suitable installation to ensure water resistance. This allows the module to also be used in sanitary facilities.
