Description
The TMF8701 is a small, easy-to-use ToF (Time of flight) distance sensor with a range of up to 60 cm. It uses IR VCSEL class 1, which allows for excellent measurement performance in both dark and sunny places. The minimum measuring distance is 1 cm. The sensor offers two configurable GPIO outputs that can be used to trigger a measurement, enable the sensor or as general purpose inputs and outputs. The TMF8701 is factory calibrated, but if mounted behind plastic or glass, the sensor can be recalibrated. The module is powered with the voltage of 3.3 V and communicates via the I2C interface.
