EdgeS3[D] is a development board based on the ESP32-S3 chip, designed for convenient prototyping and flexible use in various projects. The inclusion of an M.2 B-Key edge connector allows easy insertion and removal of the module from a baseboard, eliminating the need for permanent soldering and enabling quick transfer between projects.

The board features a dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor (up to 240 MHz) along with a RISC-V Ultra Low Power coprocessor, ensuring high performance with minimal energy consumption. With built-in 8 MB QSPI Flash and 2 MB PSRAM, the module easily handles demanding applications such as data processing, network communication, or IoT device control. EdgeS3[D] provides full wireless connectivity – Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5.0 + Mesh, enabling reliable communication in IoT and automation environments. One of the key features of the board is the integrated I/O expander, which adds 8 additional GPIO lines, expanding the total to 37 pins. The board also includes a 3.3 V / 700 mA regulator, a LiPo battery charging system, and an I2C Battery Fuel Gauge for energy monitoring. With a high-precision RF circuit and ESD protection, the module ensures reliable and safe operation even in demanding environments.
EdgeS3[D] offers a unique feature – dual antenna modes (a built-in 3D High Gain antenna and an external u.FL connector), which can be switched programmatically via the integrated RF switch. The built-in antenna is active by default, ensuring safe startup even without an external antenna connected. With native USB and USB Serial JTAG interfaces, programming and communication are straightforward. Thanks to its compact dimensions, EdgeS3[D] is ideal for modern IoT devices, industrial automation, and embedded applications.
