TerasIC TR4-530 (P0109) is an FPGA development kit featuring the Stratix IV GX device, offering high logic performance, high-speed DDR3 memory support, and extensive expandability through HSMC and PCIe connectors. The platform is designed for prototyping digital systems, PCI Express applications, and real-time data processing.
Description
The TR4-530 development kit provides an advanced hardware platform for designing systems that require high computational performance, extensive serial communication, and advanced memory access. The board is based on the Intel Stratix IV GX EP4SGX530 FPGA, featuring 531,200 logic elements, 1,024 18×18 multipliers, and 27,376 Kbit of embedded memory. It also supports four hard PCIe cores and eight PLL loops.
The device includes a DDR3 SO-DIMM socket supporting up to 4 GB with a theoretical bandwidth of up to 68 Gb/s. It comes with 64 MB of Flash memory and 2 MB of SSRAM. The board offers six HSMC (High Speed Mezzanine Card) connectors that allow easy expansion through daughter cards, providing a total of 16 high-speed transceivers up to 6.5 Gb/s and 68 LVDS channels.
A built-in USB Blaster serves as the programming and communication interface with the host PC, while FPGA configuration is also possible via JTAG. The MAX II CPLD device manages configuration and controls the programmable PLL generator. The kit supports 19 V DC external power input and allows multiple TR4 boards to be integrated into multi-chip prototyping systems for ASIC design.
