Description

AI Computer Seeed Studio reComputer RK3576-20 uses the Rockchip RK3576 with four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores running at up to 2.0 GHz. The processor works with the Arm Mali-G52 MC3 GPU, 4 GB LPDDR5 memory, and an NPU providing performance of up to 6 TOPS. The accelerator supports INT4, INT8, INT16, FP16, BF16, and TF32 operations, enabling local execution of models for image analysis, speech recognition, text generation, and other edge AI applications.

The platform supports models and tools used for CV, LLM, VLM, STT, and TTS tasks. The reComputer AI Lab environment provides access to ready-to-use models and deployment tools for Rockchip, including RKNN-Toolkit2. Supported solutions include YOLO, MobileNet, RetinaFace, CLIP, Whisper, DeepSeek-R1, and Qwen2.5-VL, while compatibility with ONNX, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Caffe facilitates migration of existing projects to the RK3576 platform.

The built-in NPU can be expanded with an accelerator connected to the M.2 Key M 2280 slot with PCIe 2.1 x1. The slot also supports NVMe SSDs, and according to the manufacturer, using an additional accelerator can increase the total AI performance up to 26 TOPS. The miniPCIe connector enables installation of communication modules such as 4G LTE, LoRaWAN, or Wi-Fi HaLow.

reComputer RK3576-20 provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports. Wireless communication is provided by integrated Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Available interfaces also include one USB 3.0 Type-A port, three USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and USB Type-C with OTG and DisplayPort functions, two MIPI CSI connectors, MIPI DSI, a 40-pin GPIO header, a microSD card slot, nano SIM slot, and 3.5 mm audio jack.

The multimedia subsystem supports hardware video decoding up to 8K at 30 fps in H.265, H.264, AV1, and AVS2 formats, as well as H.264/H.265 encoding up to 4K at 60 fps. Up to three displays can be used simultaneously via HDMI, DisplayPort over USB Type-C, and MIPI DSI.

The pre-installed Armbian environment allows system configuration to begin after connecting power and peripherals. Active cooling with a fan supports operation under sustained loads. reComputer RK3576-20 can be used as an edge AI computer in vision systems, robotics, automation, IP camera image analysis, local voice assistants, smart retail terminals, monitoring systems, and industrial applications requiring data processing without sending it to the cloud.
