Illuminophones are one of the most-liked, effective and popular electronic gadgets. Their undoubted advantage is the incredibly 'media' way of action and a few years ago they were the object of desire of almost every teenager.
Older (traditional) constructions were completely analog. The audio signal was subjected to filtration in the analog filter assembly, and then the circuits assigned to individual frequency ranges controlled colored light bulbs. The low tones usually corresponded to light of warm colors (red, orange), high - cold (blue).
Current availability and versatility of digital circuits allows replacing them with difficult analog filters. We present and encourage such a modern layout.
