Connectivity expansion board based on the STM32WL5MOC module, intended for prototyping and testing LPWAN applications in the sub-GHz band. Supports LoRa and (G)FSK, (G)MSK, and BPSK modulations, and integrates MEMS sensors with broad expansion capabilities. STMicroelectronics B-WL5M-SUBG1
The B-WL5M-SUBG1 is a connectivity expansion board designed by STMicroelectronics for rapid prototyping of wireless LPWAN applications in the sub-GHz frequency band. The board enables evaluation of the STM32WL5MOC module and supports the development of IoT device prototypes that require low power consumption and long-range radio communication.
The board is built around the STM32WL5MOC module, which integrates the STM32WL55 microcontroller featuring a dual-core Arm Cortex-M4/M0+ architecture with 256 kB of Flash memory and 64 kB of SRAM. The integrated RF transceiver operates over a frequency range from 150 MHz to 960 MHz and supports commonly used LPWAN technologies and modulations, including LoRa.

Onboard MEMS sensors include a temperature sensor, a 3-axis magnetometer, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a pressure sensor, enabling rapid development of complete measurement and environmental monitoring prototypes. The board also includes user LEDs, push buttons, and STMod+ and MIPI Debug connectors. Programming and debugging are performed using an external debugger, such as the STLINK-V3SET. Power can be supplied from an external source or via USB Type-C available on an optional STMod+ adapter board.
