Description

HighTorque USB-CANFD Debugger is a compact and high-performance communication interface that serves as a bridge between a computer and modern robotic drives. The device is designed for use with HighTorque actuators, enabling fast and reliable control as well as real-time diagnostics. With support for CAN and FDCAN protocols, the debugger offers high compatibility and can operate with a wide range of drive systems. The module stands out with its high throughput, reaching data rates of up to 5 Mbps, ensuring near-zero communication latency. It is powered via a USB Type-C port, simplifying setup and eliminating the need for additional power sources for the interface itself.

The debugger features plug-and-play functionality and works with dedicated “Motor Debugging Assistant” software, which automatically detects connected devices on the bus. This allows instant identification of motors, their parameters, and quick startup without complex configuration. The tool also enables real-time waveform visualization, including parameters such as position, speed, torque, and temperature, significantly simplifying diagnostics and control system tuning. Thanks to the presence of two XT30 connectors, power can be conveniently passed directly to the motor, reducing wiring complexity and improving installation aesthetics. Additional GH1.25 3P and SH1.0 3P interfaces allow for GPIO signal expansion. The device also supports operations such as firmware updates, zero position calibration, and performance analysis, making it a comprehensive tool for both engineers and hobbyists.
