Description
The SENT to USB-C converter enables reception, analysis, and transmission of SENT (SAE J2716 / ISO 21097) signals used by modern automotive sensors. The USB CDC interface enumerates as a Virtual COM Port, providing compatibility with Windows, Linux, and macOS without requiring additional drivers. Learn Mode automatically detects the tick period, nibble count, and CRC mode, simplifying communication with different SENT sensors.
The manufacturer provides documentation and open-source firmware through the GitHub repository, making it easier to integrate the device with custom software and support further development. The repository also includes the SENT Viewer 1.0 tool as a Python script for monitoring and analyzing SENT protocol frames.
