DC Motor + Stepper FeatherWing is an expansion module designed for use with Adafruit Feather boards. The board supports control of up to four DC motors, two stepper motors, or four servo motors via the I2C interface. The module is used in automation, robotics, and mechatronic systems built around the Feather platform.
The module uses the PCA9685 PWM controller to generate control signals and two TB6612FNG H-bridge drivers to handle motor loads. PWM-based control enables regulation of DC motor speed and control of stepper motor torque. The board supports an external motor power supply, electrically isolated from the logic supply, allowing operation with higher motor currents. The FeatherWing is used in mobile robotic platforms, manipulators, precision drives, and educational systems.
