Description
The Makerbase MKS XDrive MINI V1.0 controller operates a single three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor using an STM32F405RGT6 microcontroller and an ODrive-based firmware solution. The board operates with a 12 V to 56 V DC supply voltage, while the manufacturer specifies an operating current of 60 A and a peak current of 120 A. The controller features an AS5047P magnetic encoder for measuring the angular position of the motor shaft when the magnet is correctly installed.
Developing robotic drive systems enables position, speed and torque control of BLDC motors. Designing positioning mechanisms supports the development of drives using encoder feedback. Controlling drives in CNC machines can use STEP/DIR signals or communication with a higher-level controller. The <a href="https://kamami.pl/konwertery-can/1200043-kamod-can-sn65hvd230-modul-interfejsu-can-z-ukladem-sn65hvd230-5902186316799.html">CAN</a>, UART and USB interfaces enable operating parameters to be configured and data to be exchanged with control systems.
The USB Type-C connector provides communication with a computer, while screw terminals allow the power supply and three motor phase wires to be connected. The board features CAN, SPI, GPIO and SWD interfaces, as well as an ABZ/Hall encoder connector. The cooling system uses thermally conductive material and an aluminium heatsink. The board measures 63 x 58 mm, with mounting holes for installation in mechanical assemblies.
