The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ in compact version enables connection of M.2 devices with PCIe interface, such as NVMe drives or AI accelerators, directly to the Raspberry Pi 5. The adapter uses a single-lane PCIe 2.0 available on the 16-pin (0.5 mm) FPC connector, providing data transfer up to 500 MB/s. It supports M-key devices in formats 2230 and 2242 (for the Standard version) and 2230 (for the Compact version). The module supplies up to 3 A current for connected devices and complies with the HAT+ specification.
The Standard version is equipped with a 16 mm stacking header and mounting hardware, allowing use with the Raspberry Pi 5 along with active cooling. The Compact version is designed for use inside the Raspberry Pi 5 case, maintaining space for the fan.
