The PCIe to M.2 (Type E) adapter, designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5, allows connection of M.2 SSDs compatible with the NVMe protocol in 2230 and 2242 formats. It supports PCIe Gen2/3 interface, offering data transfer rates of up to 8 Gbps, significantly increasing read/write speeds and enabling system boot directly from the SSD. The integrated aluminum heatsink and PWM-controlled fan (8000 RPM, max airflow 1.39 CFM) provide efficient cooling, suitable for heavy workloads. The form factor and mounting hole layout are tailored to fit the Raspberry Pi 5. The module connects to the base board via a 16-pin PCIe cable.
