Compact current sensor based on TMR technology, enabling precise measurements up to 20 A with minimal energy loss. Thanks to a wide 1 MHz bandwidth, galvanic isolation and interference immunity, it is perfect for applications requiring fast response and high accuracy. Pololu 5304
CT432-HSWF20DR TMR Current Sensor is a compact current sensor module based on Allegro's TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) technology. It is designed for precise current measurements in the range of 0 A to 20 A, offering electrical isolation and high resistance to interference. With a wide 1 MHz bandwidth, the sensor is ideal for applications requiring a fast response to current changes. The device has an extremely low conduction path resistance of just 1 mΩ, minimizing energy losses. Its analog voltage output, proportional to current intensity, enables accurate monitoring of both DC (direct current) and AC (alternating current). Due to its resistance to magnetic fields, the sensor’s orientation relative to external fields does not affect the measurements. The sensor operates with a supply voltage range of 4.75 V to 5.5 V, and its output is non-ratiometric, meaning that the zero-point and sensitivity are independent of the actual supply voltage. An optional overcurrent protection function (FLT) signals when 110% of the maximum measurement range is exceeded, allowing for rapid fault detection.

The compact PCB is made of two-layer copper, ensuring durability and reliability, while the 2.54 mm pin spacing allows for easy use with prototype boards and development modules. Connection points are clearly labeled on the silkscreen layer, and an additional arrow indicates the direction of positive current flow. The sensor can be inserted anywhere in the circuit, providing galvanic isolation and eliminating the need for complex measurement circuits. With its high accuracy, small size, and strong resistance to interference, the CT432-HSWF20DR is an excellent choice for power systems, power converters, and motor control applications. Its versatility and ease of implementation make it a great solution for both engineers and hobbyists.
