Pololu 5290
The ACS37220 Hall Effect Current Sensor is a current sensing module based on the Hall effect, offering electrical isolation and a wide bandwidth of 150 kHz. With its ultra-low conductive path resistance, it ensures minimal power loss and high measurement efficiency. The sensor can be placed anywhere in the circuit and used in applications requiring galvanic isolation. Thanks to differential Hall sensing, the device is resistant to external magnetic interference, ensuring high accuracy. The sensor outputs an analog voltage proportional to the current value, enabling measurement of both DC and AC current. The module operates with a supply voltage from 3.15 V to 3.45 V, and the output is ratiometric, meaning its center point is VCC/2 and changes by 13,2 mV per ampere of current flow. Its fast response time makes it ideal for high-speed measurement systems and real-time current monitoring.

For proper operation, the sensor requires five connections: current input (IP+ and IP−), logic power supply (VCC and GND), and sensor output (VOUT). The FAULT pin is internally pulled up to VDD and is pulled low when the current IP exceeds the configured overcurrent threshold in either direction. This output indicates the current fault status. The module uses a multilayer PCB for high durability and reliability. Large mounting holes allow connection via wires or screw terminals. Alternatively, 2.54 mm pitch holes are also available, although not recommended for high-current applications. Thanks to its high accuracy, flexible mounting options, and resistance to interference, the sensor is ideal for use in power systems, power converters, battery monitoring circuits, and motor control systems.
