CT220BMV-HS5 Contactless Current Sensor Carrier Module is a compact board featuring a sensor from Allegro Microsystems, based on XtremeSense™ TMR (Tunnel MagnetoResistance) technology, designed for non-contact current measurement.

CT220BMV-HS5 supports a magnetic field range of ±1.5 mT (±15 G). It offers output sensitivity of 1500 mV/mT at 5 V supply voltage or 990 mV/mT at 3.3 V. The sensor operates at a supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, with a zero-output voltage of 2.5 V at 5 V supply. The actual current measurement range and sensitivity depend on the distance between the sensor and the conductor, its geometry, and orientation relative to the board. For best results, it is recommended to calibrate the sensor in the target setup, especially for varying wire diameters and insulation thicknesses.
