This compact development board features Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 LE, and 802.15.4, ideal for Zigbee and Matter-based IoT projects. It offers numerous GPIOs, onboard LiPo charging, and battery monitoring thanks to the MAX17048 chip. It includes a NeoPixel LED and a STEMMA QT port for quick sensor connection. Its energy-efficient design, with a deep sleep mode of approximately 17µA, is ideal for battery-powered applications. Adafruit 5933
ESP32-C6 Feather is an advanced development board built on Espressif’s first chip supporting Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 LE, and the 802.15.4 protocol. This makes it ideal for Internet of Things projects, especially those requiring compatibility with Zigbee and future standards such as Matter. The board is based on the Feather ESP32-S2 design but features the new C6 chip along with several improvements that enhance functionality and power efficiency.

The module provides multiple GPIO lines, integrated LiPo battery charging, and battery monitoring using the MAX17048 chip. It also includes a built-in NeoPixel LED and a STEMMA QT/I2C port for quick connection of sensors and accessories. An additional ultra-low-power LDO regulator allows disabling the I2C bus and NeoPixel in deep low-power modes, achieving as little as 17 µA in deep sleep.
It is worth noting that the ESP32-C6—similar to the C3—does not feature native USB, meaning it cannot operate as an HID device or mass storage. Programming and file transfer in CircuitPython are therefore performed via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or WebSerial. The limited number of GPIO pins results in some shared-function pins, but this ensures good compatibility with existing FeatherWings. The board is an excellent choice for compact, energy-efficient IoT applications, home automation, sensor systems, and modern networked projects.
