The Waveshare 31899 Core1121-HF LoRa module is designed for low-power wireless communication in LPWAN networks, suitable for IoT applications requiring long range, high reliability, and operation across multiple frequency bands. It is built around the third-generation low-power LR1121 transceiver, enabling transmission in both Sub-GHz and 2.4 GHz ISM bands for global deployment in compliance with local radio regulations.


The module supports LoRa, (G)FSK, and LR-FHSS modulation schemes, ensuring compatibility with earlier solutions based on SX126X, SX127X, and SX128X series chips. Communication with a host microcontroller is handled via an SPI interface, allowing easy integration with popular platforms such as ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and Raspberry Pi Pico.
An onboard TCXO improves frequency stability across a wide temperature range, while the hardware AES-128 encryption engine enhances data security for LoRa and LoRaWAN networks. The version without pre-soldered pin headers is intended for direct PCB soldering or applications requiring custom connector selection.
