Description

The RS485-HUB-2P hub by Waveshare enables the expansion of a single RS485 bus with two additional subordinate ports with relay signal forwarding, galvanic isolation and the ability to operate in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint topologies. The device supports half-duplex transmission, and each RS485 port allows connection of up to 32 devices. Thanks to optoelectronic isolation and surge protection, the hub can be used in industrial environments requiring high reliability.

The housing adapted for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail facilitates integration with existing systems. The supply voltage range is from 5 V to 36 V DC, and the supported transmission speed range is 300–460800 bps (autodetection). The hub is used in data acquisition systems, IoT gateways, building automation, monitoring and extensive installations based on RS485.
