A step-down converter module that allows for input voltage reduction from 7.6-36V to a stable 7.5V, ensuring high efficiency thanks to SMPS technology. A maximum output current of 600mA allows for powering microcontrollers, IoT modules, and other electronic systems. The device is equipped with short circuit and overheating protection and offers very low quiescent current. Pololu 5595
The voltage converter module is a step-down (buck) converter designed to reduce an input voltage from 7.6 V to 36 V down to a stable 7.5 V output. Thanks to its switch-mode power supply (SMPS) design, it delivers much higher efficiency than traditional linear regulators, especially when there is a large difference between input and output voltages. The maximum continuous output current is 600 mA, making it suitable for powering various popular electronic circuits, microcontrollers, and communication modules. The device operates at a switching frequency of 1.1 MHz under standard loads and automatically reduces the frequency at light loads to improve energy efficiency. The regulator features a very low quiescent current – below 0.01 mA across most of its operating range – making it ideal for battery-powered systems.

The converter includes built-in short-circuit and overtemperature protection, ensuring stable and safe operation in all conditions. Its compact design makes it easy to integrate into projects with limited space. The board features three pins: VIN (input voltage), GND (ground), and VOUT (output voltage), spaced at 2.54 mm for full compatibility with breadboards and prototyping connectors.
Thanks to its high efficiency and stable performance, this module is an excellent choice for microcontroller-based projects, IoT systems, portable devices, and any other application requiring reliable voltage conversion. It combines compact size, high efficiency, and reliability, offering an outstanding price-to-performance ratio.
