The Terasic Mercury A2700 card is a modern platform designed for accelerated computing in data centers, cloud environments, and embedded systems. It uses the Agilex 7 I-Series FPGA with 2.7 million logic elements, delivering top performance in its class. It is the first Terasic card supporting PCIe 5.0 x16 and Compute Express Link (CXL), enabling 2× higher bandwidth compared to PCIe 4.0 and minimal CPU–FPGA communication latency.

With two QSFP-DD connectors and four DDR4 SO-DIMM slots, the card provides vast data processing capabilities, especially in applications such as computer vision, HPC, or other high-performance computing workloads. It includes an advanced management system featuring power and temperature monitoring and automatic fan control. The card supports multiple interfaces, including Gigabit Ethernet, UART to USB, and USB OTG with a MicroUSB port.


With the integrated USB-Blaster II, FPGA configuration is fast and convenient, and users can choose from various configuration modes via QSPI memories. For software development, Linux BSP packages are available, along with upcoming support for Intel OneAPI. Additional features such as MCIO connectors, timing expansion headers, buttons, DIP switches, and LEDs provide flexibility for project customization. Its compact full-height, 3/4-length PCIe form factor ensures seamless integration with existing systems. The package also includes a rich set of accessories, enabling immediate use right out of the box.
