Description
Large Carrier version current sensor from Pololu, model 5277, based on the ACS72981KLRATR-150B3, designed for measuring AC and DC current in the range from -150 A to +150 A at a nominal supply voltage of 3.3 V. Measurement is performed using the Hall effect in an isolated current path with low resistance of approximately 0.2 mΩ, which reduces power losses and minimizes the impact of the sensor on the measured circuit.
The output signal is provided as an analog voltage proportional to the current, with a quiescent level equal to half of the supply voltage (approx. 1.65 V at 3.3 V). The module offers bandwidth up to 250 kHz and response time below 2 µs, enabling monitoring of fast current changes in power electronics systems.
The use of a 6-layer PCB improves heat dissipation and stability during high-current operation. Integrated temperature compensation increases measurement accuracy over a wide temperature range. The module is intended for applications with voltages below 30 V.
