The SparkFun ESP32-C6 Qwiic Pocket development board is designed to easily integrate the powerful wireless development platform into any project using the Qwiic ecosystem. The board has a small footprint and a Qwiic-compliant connector, making it easy to add to existing projects.
The main element is the ESP32-C6 Mini-1 module from Espressif. The board has been designed to accommodate as many functions as possible, including a USB-C connector, a Qwiic connector, a 2-pin JST battery connector with a charging circuit, as well as two Reset and Boot buttons. Additionally, the design takes into account effective power management - the total current consumption of the board is approximately 14 µA in Deep Sleep mode, making it an ideal choice for battery-powered applications.
The ESP32-C6 chip itself is a single-core RISC-V processor with 4 MB of flash memory and built-in wireless communication. The stack supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth® 5.3, Zigbee and Thread (802.15.4) and uses a built-in PCB antenna. The ESP32-C6 chip offers various interface options including SPI, UART, LPUART, I2C, I2S, PWM LED controller, USB Serial/JTAG, ADC and more. While some of these interfaces are assigned to specific pins, many can be mapped to any GPIO pin. Due to the size of the board, there are eight GPIO pins available, including four pins compatible with ADC, UART and an additional two GPIO pins.
Thanks to these features, the SparkFun ESP32-C6 Qwiic Pocket board is the perfect tool for creating small-sized wireless projects. Now you can easily develop IoT applications and battery-powered devices.
