Description
The Teltonika TRB500 gateway uses a 5G Sub-6 GHz modem supporting both SA and NSA architectures, while maintaining backward compatibility with LTE Cat 20 and 3G networks. The manufacturer specifies a maximum 5G download speed of up to 3.3 Gbps in selected radio configurations, with 4x4 MIMO support for downlink transmission. The 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 port enables LAN devices to be connected, while Bridge and Passthrough modes allow the cellular connection to be provided to a connected router, controller, or industrial computer.
TRB500 provides networking and security functions for industrial and IoT installations, including IPv4/IPv6 support, DHCP, MQTT, SNMP, routing, QoS, firewall, failover, and load balancing. VPN support includes technologies such as OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, GRE, L2TP, SSTP, DMVPN, and ZeroTier, allowing encrypted remote connections to machines, controllers, monitoring systems, and other equipment operating outside the local network.
The gateway uses a 9-30 V DC power supply and an aluminium enclosure designed for operation in industrial environments. Four SMA connectors provide connections for cellular antennas, while a Mini SIM slot accommodates the operator's SIM card. TRB500 does not include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, RS232, or RS485 interfaces, focusing on 5G/LTE cellular connectivity and Ethernet communication. The compact enclosure can also be installed on a DIN rail using a compatible mounting accessory.
