The device Load-Cell Amplifier HX711 With Qwiic by Soldered uses a 24-bit HX711 ADC to measure low-level differential signals generated by load cells and other Wheatstone bridge-based sensors. The IC amplifies the measurement signal and converts it into digital data, allowing the board to be used in electronic scales, force measurement systems, and automation applications employing strain gauges.
The Qwiic version includes an ATtiny404 microcontroller that reads data from the HX711 and provides it to the host microcontroller through the I2C bus. A Qwiic connection eliminates the need for direct handling of the HX711 DAT and SCK lines. The default I2C address is 0x30, while onboard address switches provide eight selectable addresses from 0x30 to 0x37.
The load cell connections are provided through the E+, E-, A+, A-, B+, and B- pins. Channel A and Channel B provide differential signal inputs. HX711 documentation specifies programmable gain settings of 32, 64, or 128, depending on the selected channel and operating configuration.
The module operates from a 2.6–5.5V supply and typically consumes less than 1.5mA during operation. Board dimensions are 38 × 22mm. The 3.2mm mounting holes are designed for M3 screws.
