An Ethernet module featuring the RP2040 microcontroller designed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The chip has two ARM Cortex M0+ cores running at up to 133 MHz and 264 kB of RAM. The microcontroller is not equipped with flash memory, but there is a 4MB external memory on the board connected via the QSPI interface.

The board houses a CH9120 chip with an integrated TCP/IP protocol stack and an Ethernet interface. The module can operate in a variety of Ethernet roles, including TCP server, TCP client, UDP server or UDP client.

In addition to the RP2040 chip and Flash memory, the user has a 3.3 V voltage stabiliser, Boot and Power buttons, a USB type C connector for powering and programming the module, and GPIO outputs where peripherals such as 12-bit ADC, PWM inputs, I2C, SPI and UART interfaces are brought out.

The platform supports the popular MicroPython and C/C++ programming languages. Programmes can be uploaded to the memory using a USB interface. A guide with examples of use is available on the product page.
