The device Voltage & current sensor INA219 breakout by Soldered uses the INA219 IC for digital monitoring of electrical parameters in DC circuits. It measures voltage and current and provides data for determining consumed or supplied power. The module can be used in power monitoring circuits, battery systems, IoT devices, and projects requiring energy consumption monitoring.
The voltage measurement range extends up to 26V, while the onboard 0.1Ω shunt resistor allows current measurement up to ±3.2A. Bidirectional measurement makes it possible to determine the direction of energy flow, which can be used for monitoring battery charging and discharging. The INA219 incorporates a 12-bit ADC.
Measurement data is transmitted via the I2C bus. The default device address is 0x40, while the A0 and A1 jumpers allow selection of 0x40, 0x41, 0x44, or 0x45. The board also provides 2 Qwiic connectors for solderless connection to compatible systems. The IN+ and IN- terminals are used to connect the monitored circuit.
The board operates from a 3–5V supply. It uses 3.3V logic and includes an onboard regulator for compatibility with boards using a 5V supply. Board dimensions are 38 × 22mm, while the 3.2mm mounting holes are designed for M3 screws.
A compact Hall-effect current sensor that provides accurate DC and AC current measurement within a ±10 A range with galvanic isolation. It features a high-sensitivity analog VOUT output with a 150 kHz bandwidth, enabling fast and precise readings in dynamic systems. The module operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, and the low current path resistance minimizes energy loss. Its small size and flexible mounting options make it ideal for prototyping, industrial systems, and space-constrained projects. Pololu 5444
