The module consists of the HT16K33 display controller system, soldering pads for selecting the layout address and connectors for the 7-segment display . The controller has a built-in clock, which is responsible for clocking the multiplexer system. In addition, it has a constant leds current supply, which ensures high quality of lighting for each segment. It is possible to control the brightness of the display lighting with a step of 1/16 of maximum brightness. All functions of information display as well as data transfer are carried out using the I2C bus. The module allows you to choose one of the eight-bit addresses in the range: 0x70 - 0x77.
