The RTK Facet L-Band is a GNSS receiver designed for positioning with high accuracy down to the centimeter level. It is ideal for measurements, autonomous vehicles and data logging. It is a pre-programmed device that can also be used for autonomous driving, navigation, asset tracking and any other application where the device can connect to a GNSS system. It can be used as a correction source to create an RTK system with 14mm horizontal positioning accuracy. Built-in Bluetooth® connectivity via the WROOM ESP32 allows the user to use the RTK Facet L-Band with the app of their choice on a phone or tablet, while the battery allows over four hours of use in the field and is compatible with popular USB power banks.
RTK Facet L-Band uses corrections from u-blox's PointPerfect service, broadcast from Inmarsat's geosynchronous satellite. The only configuration required is the Wi-Fi SSID and password. Once entered, the device will self-supply and periodically (once a month) update the decryption keys necessary to use the PointPerfect service. The RTK Facet L-Band price includes a 12-month subscription.
The device uses the ESP32 WROOM connected to the ZED-F9P GNSS receiver, the NEO-D9S L-Band receiver (for correction) and various peripherals. In addition, under the RTK Facet L-Band housing is a survey-grade L1/L2/L-Band antenna, which is a unique combination of elements designed to receive GNSS signals (L1/L2) with PointPerfect 1.55 GHz corrections. The built-in antenna has an ARP of 69mm from the base to the L1 antenna test point and an ARP of 68mm to the L2 antenna test point.
