BME688 integrated gas, pressure, temperature and humidity sensor module housed in a single MEMS package. It features a Grove connector and communicates via an I2C or SPI interface. Seeed Studio 114992989
The module with integrated BME688 gas, pressure, temperature and humidity sensors housed in a single MEMS package. The chip was developed specifically for mobile applications and wearables, where size and low power consumption are key requirements.
The BME688 sensor is backward compatible with the BME680. It has the added feature of scanning gas in low power consumption mode (3.9 mA in standard scanning mode). It can detect a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) and other gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen. In the standard configuration, the presence of VSCs is used as an indicator of bacterial growth, for example. The gas scanner can be customized in terms of sensitivity, selectivity, data rate and power consumption. In addition, thanks to built-in artificial intelligence elements, it can be trained to detect different gas mixtures and their presence using Bosch AI Studio.

The module is powered by voltages starting at 3.3 V, and communicates via an I2C (Grove connector) or SPI interface. It can be used for innovative, custom applications such as detecting food spoilage or fires by measuring current gases and tracking changes in temperature and humidity. The artificial intelligence capabilities of the sensors and the new BME AI-Studio software tool allow you to quickly develop custom solutions directly for specific cases.
