Description

The Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F air pollution sensor detects particles with a diameter greater than 0.8 μm. It consists of an infrared emitting diode (IRED) and a photo transistor that detects light reflected from dust. It is particularly effective in detecting very fine particles such as cigarette smoke. In addition, the sensor can distinguish smoke from dust based on the output voltage formula. The sensor has a low current consumption, and the output voltage is linearly correlated with the detected contamination level. GP2Y1010AU0F can be used in areas such as air conditioning systems and home air quality monitoring stations. A user manual and a sample program are available on the product wiki page.
