Description
Overlay with 2-channel CAN converter designed for Raspberry Pi minicomputers. The communication was based on the CAN controller MCP2518FD as well as the MCP2562FD transceiver and SPI interface. HAT supports protocol support in version CAN 2.0, but also CAN FD (CAN with Flexible Data-Rate) with higher data throughput. The module has numerous security features, among others ESD, short-circuit protection and electrical insulation, which makes communication safer.
