Description

WEP 992D is a 2in1 soldering station that connects a hot air soldering iron with a soldering iron. The station is equipped with an advanced PID controller correcting the temperature every 20 ms, allowing to obtain a stable temperature, even when soldering large parts with a soldering iron. Original Japanese Hakko heating elements make the soldering iron warm up in less than 1 minute. The station is equipped with a readable LCD display showing the current temperature of the soldering irons and the power of the blow. The temperature can be set using the buttons, while the power of the blast is put in a convenient potentiometer. The soldering iron is equipped with an automatic cooling function when the soldering iron is not used, in the case of a hot air soldering iron the breaker is in the handle, so after the soldering iron is automatically cooled, in the case of a soldering iron you can set the time after which the soldering iron cools down to 200 ºC , which significantly extends the life of the heater. The built-in error control system will inform the user through a message on the display in the event of a short circuit, overloading of circuits or failure to achieve the desired temperature. A wide range of available tips allows soldering not only leaded components, but also SMD in housings such as QFP, SOIC or PLCC, while a hot air solder compatible with many nozzles will work perfectly when soldering components in more demanding cases such as BGA.
