Description

The Micsig CP3005 current probe enables precise measurement of both AC and DC current in power electronics systems and switching power supply circuits. The measurement range reaches up to 300 A RMS and 500 A peak, with a bandwidth of DC to 5 MHz and a rise time of ≤ 70 ns. The dual-range design (50 A / 300 A) with a resolution of up to 10 mA allows accurate capture of signals in both low and high current ranges.

The probe features a typical accuracy of ±1% (±10 mA for the 50 A range and ±100 mA for the 300 A range), < 4 ns delay, and a low noise level of < 3.5 mApp. The output voltage of the probe is 1 V/10 A or 1 V/100 A, depending on the selected range and multiplier (x1, x10, x100). The probe signals an overload condition when the current threshold is exceeded (≥ 50 Apk or ≥ 500 Apk) and allows operation with a working and floating voltage up to CAT I 300 V. The probe is powered by an external 12 V power supply.

The Auto Degaussing and automatic zeroing function allows quick preparation of the probe for operation, ensuring high accuracy while saving time. The integrated overcurrent alarm informs the user when the permissible measurement range is exceeded, making it easier to safely switch ranges and protecting the probe from damage. This solution improves operational safety and maintains measurement stability even in demanding conditions. Additionally, the standard BNC interface ensures wide compatibility with most oscilloscopes available on the market.
