The Pololu 5422 module enables precise and safe control of loads in RC systems while maintaining galvanic isolation. The solid-state relay with SPST configuration provides silent switching of currents up to 6 A and voltages up to 60 V. It is dedicated to switching motors, valves, and other components in RC and automation projects.
The Pololu 5422 module, equipped with a SPST (Single Pole Single Throw) solid-state relay, enables switching of bidirectional loads while maintaining galvanic isolation between the control circuit and the load. Control is performed via an RC interface within a supply voltage range of 2.7–16 V. The device is equipped with a safe-start feature, programmable activation threshold, and configurable operating direction. The load can be switched in either high-side or low-side configuration. The relay supports currents up to 6 A at voltages up to 60 V (maximum value).
Control is carried out using RC pulses, and the system compares their length with the activation threshold with ±64 µs hysteresis. The threshold value can be configured through a learning mode. Two digital outputs (OUT, GOOD) indicate the relay status and RC signal validity. Terminal outputs are factory-soldered (goldpin connector and 2-pin 3.5 mm screw terminal).
