Description
The Waveshare 32427 IMX296-130 BW monochrome camera module is intended for applications requiring precise image capture without distortions typical of rolling shutter sensors. The monochrome Sony IMX296 sensor with a resolution of 1.6 MP is equipped with a global shutter, allowing simultaneous exposure of all pixels. This solution ensures accurate imaging of fast-moving objects without the “jelly effect”.
The camera module uses an M12 lens with a wide 130° field of view, enabling observation of a large area in vision-based applications. The camera is designed to work with Raspberry Pi series boards and is supplied with two FFC cables (15-pin and 22-pin), ensuring compatibility with different CSI connector variants. The design is suitable for machine vision systems, automation, robotics, and image analysis.
